The Military Survey Branch of the
Royal Engineers Association
was formed in 1999
To provide/facilitate/enable Military Surveyors (serving and retired - military and civilian) to maintain links with Military Survey and members of the REA Military Survey Branch
To be achieved through:
Actively encouraging retired (and serving) military and civilians of Military Survey (Geographic) to become members.
Maintenance of a membership database.
Communications through newsletters, social gatherings and events.
Liaison with the REA.
Acting as a conduit for benevolent matters.
By 2005 the branch membership had grown
to over four hundred, covering service from World War II to the
present day
and all ranks from
Sapper to Major General
In the same year the name of the branch was changed to
The Military Survey (Geographic) Branch of the Royal Engineers Association
