THE DEFENCE SURVEYORS’ ASSOCIATION 80^th ANNIVERSARY SEMINAR 
 2 JUNE 2007

In order to mark and celebrate the 80^th anniversary of the foundation of the Sound Ranging Association, the DSA is arranging a seminar on military surveying and mapping to be held at the Royal School of Military Survey, Hermitage, Newbury on Saturday the 2^nd June 2007.  The seminar will run from 1000 to 1700hrs during which seven 35-minute presentations will be given.  There will also be a display of maps and photographs of the Falklands War to mark its 25^th anniversary.  The cost of attendance is £15.  The cost will include tea and coffee breaks and a finger-buffet lunch. 

An audience of 80 can be accommodated and bids to attend will be accepted on a first-come first-accepted basis.  Firm bids to attend may now be made on the proforma below.  Bids submitted between 13 Feb 2007 and 6 March 2007 should be sent to Alan Gordon.  Seven presentations will given at the seminar, selected from the eight topics listed below in chronological order of subject and presentation.  Mike Nolan’s presentation is an eighth, reserve, presentation to be given in the event of a cancellation. : -
