A request
I am trying to establish a history of 47 GHQ Survey Squadron RE. To date I know that it was formed in Fayid, Egypt in 1950 and moved to Cyprus in 1955 at the same time as 42. I was in 47 from 60 to 63 when the name changed to No1 ASLS and have some earlier details in Cyprus thanks to Nick Carter & Eric Davey. I would be grateful for any more information such as OCs etc. Any replies to webmaster@survey-branch-rea.co.uk
